When I was a child we did not have store bought toys; we would use various objects found around the yard to engage in playful actives. Whenever we could not go outside to play we still found a way to have fun indoors. I started making dolls using corn-husk as the body of the doll, rounded paper-mâché for a head and the silk from the corn as hair for the dolls. I could not leave my dolls naked so I started making clothing for them. This is where my journey into fashion began.
